The writer Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin kept a secret diary all his life, in which he wrote down his thoughts, observations and notes about life. They are often so seditious that at that time it was possible to lose not only a writing career, but also a life. This was the truth that surrounded him, which could not be talked about from the pages of officially published books. After the writer's death, the writer's wife Valeria Dmitrievna deciphered all the notebooks and it was only with the abolition of censorship in 1991 that they began to be published. The publication of the 18-volume edition of the diaries from 1905 to 1954 was a significant event in the literary life of the country.
Our film is based on the writer's diary entries, as well as his photographs, the negatives of which he kept as carefully as the diaries.
