Irakliy Kvirikadze
Film director and playwright. Born in 1939 in Batumi. In 1964 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Tbilisi University, and in 1968 from the directing department of VGIK (Grigory Chukhrai’s workshop), defended his diploma in feature film directing in 1971. In 1957-1959 he was an assistant director at the Georgia-Film studio, and worked at the same time in the editorial office of the newspaper “Youth of Georgia”. From 1969 to 1974 he was director of the creative association “Telefilm” (Tbilisi), where he made several documentaries, and from 1974 he was director of the film studio “Georgia-Film”. At “Telefilm” in Tbilisi he made documentaries “The Decisive Step”, “In the Pamir Mountains”, “Zazdravnaya”. Since 1970 he has directed the films “The Jug”, “The Return of Olmes”, “Tears of Don Juan”, “Swimmer”, “Comrade Stalin’s Journey to Africa”, “The Best Grandma”, “Rasputin”. “The Swimmer” was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Film Festival in Sanremo, Italy (1986). Author and co-author of the scripts for his films, as well as the films “Robinsonade, or My English Grandfather” (1987), “Abrasion” (1988), “The Monster or Someone Else” (1988), “Limita” (1994, co-author), “A thousand and one recipes for a cook in love” (1996).
For many years he lived and worked in the USA, France, and Germany. Lecturer at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors.
Lora Guerra
Eleanora (Lora) Guerra is the wife of the Italian writer, poet, screenwriter Tonino Guerra.
Born on March 20, 1939 in Moscow.
She graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow University and taught at school for two years. Then she worked in cinema - first at Sovinfilm, then at the Mosfilm studio as an editor, in the association of Grigory Chukhrai. She was an editor on many wonderful films, including Rustam Khamdamov’s unfinished film “Slave of Love.”
In 1975, at the Moscow International Film Festival, she met Tonino Guerra and from that moment her life changed. In 1977 she moved to live in Italy.
Tonino Guerra carried out the profession of editor, translator and assistant all her life. She assisted in the work of Andrei Tarkovsky and Tonino Guerra on the films “Time of Travel” and “Nostalgia”, in the creation of animated films based on Tonino’s stories and fairy tales.

Now Laura Guerra is the president of the Tonino Guerra Cultural Association and the director of the Tonino Guerra House Museum in Italy.
Kseniya Rozhdestvenskaya
Born in 1970 in Moscow. Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. Film critic, literary critic. She worked in the cultural departments of periodicals (Novaya Gazeta, Vedomosti, Gazeta.ru), published in the magazines Harper’s Bazaar, New Literary Review, Kinopark, Empire, Iskusstvo Kino, Seance.
