The film will be available online from May 16 to May 26, 2024.
On May 26, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., the film will be shown at the Voznesensky Center (Moscow). The film will be presented by director Maxim Yakubson.
This film shows how the desire and ability to see a person behind a diagnosis foster a deep connection and help turn life around. It tells us about unbelievable things "incapable" people can do — those considered useless by society. The audience will see that a person can be happy despite any physical and mental limitations. The writer Eugene Vodolazkin believes his "special" colleagues can perceive the world in a different way. The actress Elena Morozova holds a dialogue through dancing. During the pandemic, guys and girls from the psycho-neurological state institution go to Perspektivy's Dom Na Vole (Free House) to get through these challenging times in a place like home where people with severe disabilities live a common life among other people and not in isolation. And, assisted by the artist Sergey Migitsko, they stage A Feast in Time of Plague together with permanent residents of the house, employees and a local priest.
World premiere.
