Tonino Guerra

He was born on March 16, 1920 in the small town of Santarcangelo near Rimini. He graduated from the Faculty of Education of the University of Urbino. He began writing in a Nazi concentration camp.
He wrote scripts for such outstanding film directors as Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, Andrei Tarkovsky ("Nostalgia" and a documentary about the search for nature for this film "Voyage in Time", in which Guerra also co-directed), Francesco Rosi and Theo Angelopoulos.
